Professor Rob Miller is the Director of the Whittle Lab, the world’s leading jet engine research laboratory. He is renowned for pioneering Rapid Technology Development, an approach that has reduced R&D timescales from years to months. Currently, he is leading the development of the New Whittle Laboratory, designed as a disruptive innovation hub for flight and energy. He also founded the Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA), a global initiative that brings together leading experts to develop evidence-based tools to raise ambition and drive action toward achieving net zero aviation.
Professor Miller is also the Director of the Rolls-Royce Cambridge University Technology Centre. His contributions to aerospace have been widely recognised—he has won the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' highest honour four times and is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering as well as a member of the UK Government’s Jet Zero Forum.
